Welcome to Lucia. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Lucia application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service"), operated by Lucia Training Systems ("we", "us", or "our"). By downloading, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and that all information you provide is accurate and complete.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately at support@lucia.app if you suspect any unauthorised access.

  • One account per person. Do not share accounts.
  • Do not use another person's account without permission.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. Use of the Service

You may use the Service only for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to harm, harass, or impersonate others.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or exploit any part of the Service.
  • Upload or transmit any malicious code, viruses, or harmful content.
  • Use automated tools to access or interact with the Service without our prior written consent.
  • Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation.

4. Health & Fitness Disclaimer

Lucia provides fitness tracking, AI coaching suggestions, and training insights for informational and motivational purposes only. The content provided is not medical advice and should not be treated as such.

Before starting any new exercise programme, consult a qualified healthcare professional, particularly if you have a pre-existing medical condition, injury, or health concern. We are not liable for any injury, illness, or damage arising from the use of information provided by the Service.

5. Subscription & Payments

Some features of the Service may require a paid subscription. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Payments are processed via the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, subject to their respective terms.

We do not offer refunds except where required by applicable law or platform policy.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, and materials within the Service are the intellectual property of Lucia Training Systems or our licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

By submitting content (e.g. workout data, feedback) through the Service, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use that content to operate and improve the Service.

7. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please read it carefully to understand how we collect, use, and protect your data.

8. Third-Party Services

The Service may integrate with or link to third-party services (e.g. Apple HealthKit, Google Fit). We are not responsible for the content or practices of those services, and your use of them is subject to their own terms and policies.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Lucia Training Systems shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or £10 (whichever is greater).

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. You may delete your account at any time from within the app settings.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the app or email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
